What is male infertility?

Male infertility is a man’s inability to become pregnant with a female partner after a year of regular, unprotected sex. Male infertility involves sperm count, morphology and motility.

Infertility affects 8% to 12% of couples of childbearing age worldwide. Men account for about half of all cases of Male Fertility Treatment in Lahore, even though they are entirely responsible for 20% to 30% of those couple-related cases.

Tests to examine male fertility

Men should also test their fertility because, as already mentioned, there are several factors that can cause infertility in both men and women.

There are many tests available today to identify the cause of fertility, thanks to advances in medical science and technology. You may already be aware of the treatments, but don’t worry; we’ll talk about the treatments after that part.

Some recommendations to stimulate male fertility

There are a number of things men can do to increase their fertility. Here are a few recommendations:

  • Eat a healthy diet. This means eating lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. It is also important to limit processed foods, sugary drinks and unhealthy fats.
  • Lose weight if you are overweight or obese. Being overweight can affect sperm production and motility.
  • Exercise regularly. Exercise can help improve sperm quality and quantity. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week.
  • Quit smoking. Smoking can damage sperm and reduce fertility.
  • Avoid excessive alcohol consumption. Too much alcohol can also damage sperm.
  • Get enough sleep. When you are well rested, your body produces more testosterone, which is important for sperm production. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep per night.
  • Deal with stress. Stress can affect sperm production and quality. Find healthy ways to manage stress, such as exercise, yoga, or meditation.
  • Take a fertility supplement. There are a number of fertility supplements on the market that can help improve sperm health. Talk to your doctor about whether a supplement is right for you. For more information about these supplements.

Intrauterine insemination (IUI)

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a method in which sperm cells are introduced into the woman’s uterine cavity through a thin tube. This happens after the best-moving sperm cells have been removed from the semen in a laboratory. Sometimes the woman must use hormones to promote egg maturation and ovulation.

Doctors have agreed in a national guideline that 3 to 6 treatments are performed for most indications. If these treatments do not have the desired result, you can switch to IVF Cost in Pakistan. As with other fertility treatments, the age limit for IUI is 43 years for a woman.

The treatment

Blood or urine tests are used to measure in a woman when the LH peak (increased value of the Luteinizing Hormone that triggers ovulation) occurs. At the most fertile moment of the cycle, the sperm is inseminated in the cavity of the womb (uterus) and must then reach the fallopian tubes, where fertilization takes place.

The man must have submitted the sperm to the laboratory earlier that day, where it is ‘processed’. The (good) sperm cells are filtered from the semen; only these sperm cells are inserted.
